How we work

Spiderware is fully remote and fully async. There is no office. There are no mandatory meetings. There is no expectation that anyone be online at a specific hour.

What replaces meetings

  • Writing. Decisions, designs, retros — all written down, all searchable, all open to the team.
  • Trust. People are hired to use their judgment. We do not approve creative work by committee.
  • Long horizons. We plan in weeks and months, not stand-ups.

What this is not

It is not a free-for-all. The bar for the quality of written communication is high — because it has to carry the weight that meetings normally would. People who thrive here are the ones who enjoy writing clearly and reading carefully.
